Three new members were added to Community Compassion Outreach Board of Directors.
Daniel Morgenstern cofounded the Affordable Housing Task Force, leading to the creation of the Regional Housing Alliance (now HomesFund). He has served on numerous boards including Habitat for Humanity, the Women’s Resource Center and the San Juan Symphony. He is also a conflict resolving negotiator, strategic planner and fundraiser.
Loretta Meushaw, a founding member of the organization, launched Durango Homeless Youth Advocates (Durango Highlands Youth Advocates) in 2015, which guides youth into education and housing to increase potential for employment and improve self-esteem. She has been the homeless outreach director at Durango Christian Church since 2015.
Jeremy R. Lunde, graphics designer at Basin Printing, brings his expertise in print and web media to the organization. Lunde has followed the advocacy of CCO for people experiencing homelessness, and joined the board to give back to the community.
Jon Alsdorf, cofounder/advisor; Johnie Ragsdale, secretary; and Darren White, treasurer, have served on the Board of Directors since joining the organization in February 2018. They have served on various committees and programs since March 29, 2018 when CCO incorporated and became a Colorado 501(c)(3) public charity. The board unanimously voted Donna Mae Baukat as President of the Board, as she retains the position of executive director.
