Durango Fire Protection District and Durango Police Department responded to a crash Thursday at the intersection of Camino del Rio and Dominguez Drive that involved two pickup trucks with one being T-boned. The truck on its side was southbound on Camino del Rio turning east onto Dominguez Drive and the white pickup ran a red light colliding with the truck. Minor injuries were reported at the scene with one occupant who self transported to Mercy Hospital. The driver of the white truck was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while impaired, although alcohol is not suspected, according to police. The driver was taken to Mercy for a blood draw.
