Light Over Shadows Day will be held noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Rotary Park, 1565 East Second Ave.
Help break the stigma related to substance use and mental health presented by Beyond Labels.
The day will include:
- Noon: Mental Health Awareness Walk
- 1:30 p.m.: Lived Experience Stories
- Noon-3. pm.: Resource Fair
Free sandwiches will be provided.
This free community event is designed to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and substance use while fostering connection, awareness, and support.
Beyond Labels is a group of community organizations including: Advocates for Recovery, Axis Health, Colorado Consortium for Prescription Drug Misuse, Denver Recovery Group, La Plata County Public Health and Manna soup kitchen working to reduce the negative beliefs, interactions and experiences many have encountered related to substance use and mental health.
