Local sports schedule from Wednesday to Tuesday

Here’s what high school and Fort Lewis teams play coming up

Most people are planning their Thanksgiving festivities this week, but local coaches are planning for a few games this week. It’s a transition time in high school sports, with fall sports ending and winter sports beginning next week. Fort Lewis’ fall sports have wrapped up except for men’s soccer. FLC men’s and women’s basketball seasons are in full swing and are wrapping up nonconference play. Here’s the local sports schedule from Wednesday to Tuesday:

FLC women’s basketball vs. UT Tyler on Friday at home at 3 p.m.

Records: UT Tyler is 4-0 after beating the top team in Division II Texas Women’s 60-50 on Saturday. FLC is 2-3 overall after it beat Northern New Mexico 67-57 on Saturday.

FLC men’s soccer at Midwestern State on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Records: Midwestern State is 15-2-3 overall after it beat Cal Poly Pomona 3-0 in the second round of the NCAA tournament. FLC is 13-3-6 after it beat UCCS 4-2 in the second round of the NCAA tournament.

Durango girls basketball vs. Farmington on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Ignacio boys basketball at Dolores on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

Bayfield boys basketball vs. Piedra Vista on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.

Bayfield girls basketball at Dolores on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
