The La Plata Electric Association Board of Directors, during a Jan. 17 meeting, approved the addition of a Long-Term Strategies Committee, which will review energy demands, define the energy landscape and evaluate options for meeting members’ demands during the next 10-15 years.

Appointed to serve on the subcommittee were LPEA board members Guinn Unger, Britt Bassett, Bob Lynch, Rachel Landis and Dan Huntington.

Members are tasked to develop a mission statement, vision and procedural list for the subcommittee, which will be presented to the board during a meeting March 21, with the goal to have it finalized before the annual meeting May 12.
