A skateboarder was struck by a vehicle around 6:40 p.m. Thursday evening at Florida Road and North College Drive. “The reports are that he came out of nowhere,” said Sgt. Robert Brammer with the Durango Police Department. The skateboarder was transported to Mercy Regional Medical Center, where he was diagnosed with a broken femur, Brammer said. “At this time, it looks like it was the skateboarder’s fault,” Brammer said.
