Durango School District 9-R’s “107 Years of Education” exhibit and District Office Moving Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 13 at the District Administrative Office, 210 E. 12th St.

The “107 Years of Education” exhibit will be held to honor the history of Durango’s former high school. Items include yearbooks, trophies, diplomas, graffiti from past theater students, photos, desks, furniture, a letterman’s jacket, record player and more dating from 1917 to 1976 – the years the building was used as a high school. Former students of the old high school will be invited to record their memories in a virtual scrapbook.

The district will also host a District Office Moving Sale, open to all community members. Items for sale will include desks, chairs, tables, bookcases, filing cabinets and old auditorium seating.

All proceeds from the moving sale will be used to support the district in moving expenses for the new district office at the Columbine Center in Bodo Park.
