The Rotary Club of Durango will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave. The meeting’s topic will be a new local initiative called “Restore the Balance.”

“Restore the Balance” is intended to improve civility in political discourse and encourage moderation of extremist viewpoints to find common ground for governance.

Speaking will be Karen Zink and Wyatt Bair. Zink is a women’s health care nurse practitioner and co-owner of Southwest Women’s Health. Bair is a political science student at Fort Lewis College.
