Skyhawks Club to host casino night

Fundraiser set for Aug. 5

The Fort Lewis College Department of Athletics has announced it will host a Skyhawks Club Casino Night on Aug. 5. The event, presented by FCI Constructors, will be a fundraiser to support scholarships and student-athlete enhancements. The event will be held in Whalen Gymnasium on the FLC campus. Sky Ute Casino Resort has partnered with FLC to provide gaming for the event.

“We are thrilled to start a new tradition and create one of the premier events of the entire year for Skyhawks fans, supporters and the Durango Community,” said FLC’s director of athletics Travis Whipple. “This event will serve as a great opportunity for members of our community to engage with our coaches and staff while helping raise money that directly impacts our student-athletes. You won’t want to miss this signature event as we continue building a program of excellence that is committed to graduating champions.”

The Skyhawks Club Casino Night will feature gaming tables, interaction with coaches and auction items.

The event will also have 14 Big Board items available for bidding.

The recommended dress code for Casino Night is cocktail attire, including dress shirts, ties, sport coats, slacks, cocktail dresses and blouses.

Table packages begin at $1,000 with a variety of ways to get involved. For sponsorship opportunities, tables or more information, contact FLC Athletics at 247-7224.
