Cody Speece, a senior for Bayfield High School and the cross country team's sole entry at the 3A state meet, took 40th with a time of 17:48.10.

The meet was held at Norris Penrose Event Center Saturday in Colorado Springs. One hundred fifty-seven boys competed in the 3A boys run.
