To escape Friday’s heat, Brian Miller and Andrea Soderlind floated down the Animas River. Miller is from Durango, and Soderlind is visiting from Palm Springs, Calif. The National Weather Service predicts a high of 86 today in Durango with a 20 percent chance of rain.
