In considering the many ways Bobby Lieb is qualified to serve as our next county treasurer, such as his successful leadership on numerous nonprofit boards, elected service as La Plata County commissioner and owner of a local entrepreneurial business, to me, it comes down to one common thread. I have known Bobby for more than 34 years. We were classmates at Durango High School, teammates, co-coaches and parents of kids the same age. I have consistently admired Bobby because he always makes truthful and honest decisions that are in the best interest of the whole. I can trust that Bobby will make the right decision, even if it is the harder decision to make. In various instances, Bobby’s decision has not always been the popular one, but it has been for the right reasons. Bobby has always known it is better to be truthful and honest and live with those consequences than the alternative. Bobby Lieb can be trusted to serve with integrity as our county treasurer.
