The Vallecito Conservation and Sporting Association will host its annual ice fishing tournament from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20.
Registration starts at 5:30 a.m. at the Vallecito Community Center.
Pre-registration is available online at www.vallecitosportingclub.org, and all contestants must check in the day of the tournament.
The entry fee is $30, and $400 cash prizes will be awarded for the largest trout, largest pike, and heaviest stringer. Second place in each contest is $300 cash, third place is $200, and fourth place is a $100 gift card. Other prizes will be offered, as well. All contestants much weigh in their catch at 2:30 p.m.
Kids from ages 5 to 12 will receive a free ice fishing starter kit while supplies last.
