As a former teacher at both the prekindergarden and high school levels, I’ll be voting for Matt Sheldon for the School District 9-R Board of Education this November. Matt is an exceptionally dedicated and hard worker, with an understanding of the problems facing public schools today. He’s the best fit to help move our education system from good to great here in Durango.
Matt has demonstrated his skill in working productively with diverse stakeholders. He knows how to bring people together, solve tough issues and get everyone in a room motivated toward a common goal. As a member of our Board of Education, he’ll weigh the needs of parents, teachers and students to bring about collaborative answers.
With his own background in education, he’ll be a trusted and respected ally for all parties.
The students in our community deserve the best we can offer them. This year, that’s Matt. Join me in voting for Matt Sheldon for 9-R school board.
