Lucas McCormick, 31, of Aztec, was flown to a hospital in Grand Junction early Sunday after an assault near Eighth Street and Main Avenue in Durango. No arrests have been made, but police believe four men may have been involved.
An Aztec man was in critical condition Sunday after an early morning assault near Eighth Street and Main Avenue in Durango.
The incident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday, about the time downtown bars were closing for the night, said Sgt. William Sweetwood, with the Durango Police Department.
Lucas McCormick, 31, was unconscious and incoherent when police and medics arrived, he said.
Witnesses were unable to provide much information about what happened, he said.
Four men may have been involved in the assault, Sweetwood said.
No arrests had been made as of Sunday afternoon.
