Ten local nonprofits were recently selected to benefit from the 2017 community concerts in the secret garden at the Leland House and Rochester Hotel, 726 East Second Ave.
The selected organizations by sector are:
Animal Protection, Lisa Parker’s Puppies, Arts and Culture, San Juan Symphony, Durango High School Troupe 1096, Stillwater Music, Durango Adult Education Center, The Garden Project of Southwest Colorado, Durango Nature Studies, La Plata Open Space Conservancy, Compañeros: Four Corners Immigrant Resource Center and Know Your Dough.
Community Concerts will benefit the nonprofit community and promote the local music scene for the third year, to feature local music on Wednesday evenings from June 28 to Aug. 30.
A drinks and food will be for sale at each event, and a $10 donation to support the selected nonprofits will be the cover charge. All proceeds will be distributed equally to the 10 featured nonprofits.
Ten pack passes for the 2017 Community Concerts in the Secret Garden are available for $90 at Maria’s Bookshop, 960 Main Ave.
