City of Durango announces Fourth of July events

The city of Durango has announced Fourth of July schedule of events. All events will take place Thursday.

Rotary Park Events

7:30-11:30 a.m., The 12th annual Rotary All-American Gourmet Breakfast. Full breakfast and coffee. Mimosas, bloody Marys and margaritas for an additional cost. Live patriotic music and readings. Proceeds will benefit nonprofit and Rotary programs. Tickets are $12/$6 at the door, $10/$5 in advance for adults and youths. Ages 4 and younger free. For more information, call 946-4856 or 749-3295.9 a.m., Freedom 5k. Run, walk or stroll down the Animas River Trail, ending back at Rotary Park. Check-in for the race will be from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. 9:15-10:45 a.m., Free Concert in the Park. Live patriotic music from Southwest Civic Winds and readings from the Fort Lewis College American Voices.
