I am so excited that Durango is celebrating another Snowdown this weekend. I was at the Ore House when Terry Fiedler first talked about having a winter celebration.
I kept score at the first Snowdown softball game. I kept the stats for the first Snowdown Gelande jump. I marched in that first parade although I can’t remember which group I was in , and I was the first stage manager for the Follies.
I hope everyone has a great time, but please keep in mind those founders that made this happen: Terry Fiedler, Tom Snodgrass, Adele Nielsen and Charlie Siegele. They are no longer with us in person, although Terry remains alive and in our hearts.
They will always be part of an extraordinary event that continues to give joy and pleasure to so many. Keep on having a ton of fun.
