Wheeling, Waters our chosen candidates

I recommend LPEA co-op members vote for Joe Wheeling and Bill Waters. These candidates are qualified businessmen who bring balance to our co-op board. They are not one-issue candidates. I know from my tenure on the 9-R school board those members who contribute most sincerely strive to see all issues for the benefit of the whole – that’s us, folks – our community and our electricity rates. Real progress will continue to be made toward greening LPEA’s energy sources only by board members being honest, doing their homework to understand all facets of issues and taking responsibility to vote his/her conscience.

It is time we (the electorate) wake up! If we want integrity and balanced decision-making on our board, re-elect Joe Wheeling – who presently represents us on the Tri-State board, and Tri-State’s contract committee that will determine if LPEA can have more than 5 percent green energy produced locally in the near future – and Bill Waters. These are two individuals willing to spend the time and effort to fully represent your interests – not just one part of LPEA’s operations.
