Four Corners Gem and Mineral Club will hold a two-day “silver metal clay” workshop from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26 at the club, 2350 Main Ave.
“Silver metal clay” is silver in clay form that can be enameled. Participants will make several pieces of their own and learn techniques for working with silver metal clay, such as rolling, shaping, cutting, texturing, forming, layering, coiling, doming, carving, stone setting, creating molds, embedding wire, drilling and bails, firing, polishing, tumbling, brushing and soldering.
Cost is $195 and will include tools and materials. Cost of silver will depend on the amount each student uses.
Enrollment is limited and will close Friday, March 17.
