Attention all “mac ’n cheese” lovers: the Macaroni & Cheese Festival is coming to Durango.
The event will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. June 28 at Santa Rita Park. The event is for adults 21 and older.
Several of Durango’s restaurants will battle to see who has the best macaroni and cheese recipe in town.
General admission costs $45. Students and military personnel can purchase tickets for $30. Tickets can be purchased at: http://bit.ly/1nmcCwH
The festivities will include sampling various gourmet macaroni and cheese dishes as well as wine tasting from over 10 different wineries and breweries. The top three chefs will win a sponsored prize. All of this is included with the ticket purchase.
Other activities will include a Corn Hole tournament, live music and more.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Durango chapter of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
