Colorado Parks and Wildlife is seeking people interested in volunteering as hunter education instructors.
Volunteer instructors connect with young or inexperienced hunters. To qualify, applicants must be 18 years old or older, have a hunter education card, undergo a background check and attend an interview.
Accepted applicants are expected to volunteer a minimum of 10 hours per year. Traditional hunting classes require 10 hours in the classroom, a written exam and live-fire exercise.
Application deadline is April 1. A class for instructors will be held in the spring.
