A retirement party will be held for Wendy Rice, family and consumer science agent for the Colorado State University Extension Office, at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, in the Silverton Room at the DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio.
Rice has worked for 18 years for the Extension Office in La Plata County. She has taught thousands of adults and youths about a wide array of topics.
Everyone is welcome at this free event.
