Leaders who care about our health, safety

Having self-appointed themselves as La Plata County dictators, gaining full authority and control of our property, deciding the outcome of life and death situations without research or concern for the victims, leaves no question as the need to remove all three commissioners from office.

Last summer, they approved an enormous, dangerously-placed tower at Trimble Lane that will hover over Dalton Ranch and is way too close to Animas Elementary School. It was passed in a hasty manner before researching safety and health concerns presented by a room full of citizens who had undeniable proof that this tower would be extremely dangerous to all living things.

The commissioner’s upcoming vacations were more important than taking time to examine the serious matters involving this ill-placed tower, nor did they offer to postpone the final decision to a later date. The tower should not have been necessary since cell tower space still is available on top of the mountain directly above Trimble Lane, which would afford endless miles of signal success and at a safe distance to humans.

My testimony included written proof of eight deaths caused by a similar cell tower at a San Diego university, including a young man who became ill and died of the same brain cancer linked to the cell tower. Search “Virginia Faber, Fort Collins,” for information.

Continue Gwen Lachelt’s recall, then demand immediate resignations from the other two commissioners so we can replace them with leaders who care about our safety and well-being.
