Marvel Grange will host a pressure canner testing event at 6:15 p.m. May 17 at the Grange Hall, 217 County Road 133A, Marvel.
Nicole Clark, La Plata County Extension Family and Consumer Science agent, will test the pressure canners. There will be a $5 fee for each pressure canner tested. Participants are asked to bring the whole canner.
There will be a potluck supper at 6:30 p.m., followed by a food canning safety presentation by Clark at 7:15 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
