In honor of Tax Day, April 17, it must be stated that Coloradans are not protected from the GOP tax bill. More Coloradans will be uninsured. The bottom 60 percent of Coloradans only receive 14 percent of the tax benefits. This number would not change if the extensions are implemented.
As a result of the GOP tax bill, an estimated 235,000 Coloradans will lose coverage by 2025, including 35,200 of Rep. Scott Tipton’s own constituents – all to fund tax breaks for the rich.
