Seriously folks, a presidential public political rally held at a respected venue, the Durango Fairgrounds, on Oct. 19 featuring vice presidential candidate Mike Pence – with no available water?
Certainly, a large crowd was anticipated – and two spigots (that hit you in the eye!) in the rear of the arena don’t count!
I was hoping for a Trump/Pence free or cheap bottled water! Truly, thinking healthy, although hundreds and hundreds of people were in the sun and heat for three hours, whereupon our water was confiscated (for excellent safety reasons, of course.)
Then, no available water. I left early because of feeling overheated and very thirsty.
Perhaps future plans could consider selling bottled water as a local fundraiser. I do realize that this rally was scheduled at the last minute, but the health and safety of our residents and those who traveled from New Mexico and Utah to attend should be of primary importance.
Note, the working event staff had water to drink throughout these three hours of history.
