It has been a pleasure to read the latest Action Line column each week, and that’s been especially so in these strange times. Therefore, it is with great disappointment that I am now compelled to offer a heartfelt and sincere thanks for years of witty, pun-filled Action Line columns.
Let’s accept that the end of the run wasn’t precipitated by New Mexico-gate. Given the manner in which the folks at the center of said gate (against whom I hold no grudge) pushed the guidelines and restrictions of Govs. Polis and Lujan Grisham alike, they earned a poke or three.
That the burrs placed under their saddles might have been a bit outsized should not an end make. But I digress.
Thank you, Mike Smedley, for your entertaining work. Like professionals of all stripes, you made it look easier than it was and, because of your knowledge and research, we readers often learned something between the chuckles. Fare thee well.
