We are well aware of the dangers presented to our planet, security and health by the fossil fuel industry. And the evidence just keeps mounting.
The study published by the University of Colorado linking wastewater injections from oil and gas wells to an increase in the quantity of earthquakes along the Colorado - New Mexico border is an example of this. In addition to CU, other researchers have found evidence to corroborate this claim.
We now have property damage and new risks to our safety that are directly traced to the fossil fuel industry and their harmful waste disposal practices. The increase in earthquakes in Southern Colorado is another among the many reasons we should make the switch to renewable energy.
For the sake of our health, natural resources and the future of our children, we should transition to renewables now.
