If there is anyone in this community who can say with a straight face that:
Scott Tipton is not afraid of his constituents, evidence his total avoidance of town halls in La Plata County; Scott Tipton has had an original idea while in office, evidence his cut-and-paste generic newsletters that are written for him and other representatives by GOP ghost writers; Scott Tipton has ever voted in any way that he was not told to vote, evidence his voting record; Scott Tipton has done anything commensurate to the $1,218,000-plus we have paid him since he took office, then that person should get the job as the White House Press Secretary. Please replace him by voting for Diane Mitsch Bush and restore intelligence, independence, and a work ethic to the office.
As for the cheerleading opposing the oil and gas well setbacks, Proposition 112, here’s support for it:
If 112 appears aggressive, it is in equal measure a response to a governor and legislature that have turned a blind eye to the assault the oil and gas industry has waged on Front Range communities.
By repeatedly dismissing numerous peer-reviewed health studies that cite the harm fossil fuel development has on vulnerable populations (read children), the state has left communities no option but to take matters into their own hands to protect those children.
Parroting “Colorado has the strongest regulations in the country,” is a deceptive joke; what is regulation without enforcement? Please vote YES on 112.
