Advent sermon series to begin at All Saints
Beginning Sunday, the Rev. Edward W. Fowler, vicar of All Saints Anglican Church, will preach an Advent season series of five messages from the prophecy of Isaiah called “Christ in the Old Testament.”
The series will trace the revelation of Israel’s messiah as savior of all the nations.
All Saints meets at 10 a.m. Sundays in the Windom Room of the Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.
The series will conclude with a service of lessons and carols, including a homily about “The Sign of Immanuel” from Isaiah 7:10-16 on Christmas Eve. That service will be held at 4:30 p.m. at McPherson Chapel on the Fort Lewis College campus.

Visit Bethlehem in Pagosa Springs
“Main Street Bethlehem” will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 5, at Centerpoint Church, 2750 Cornerstone Drive in Pagosa Springs.
Participants will experience the sights and sounds of Bethlehem the night Jesus was born. Spend 30 minutes walking around the town seeing live animals, listening to music, smelling baking bread and more.
