Jeff Berman is the most highly qualified candidate for District 3 of the LPEA board. As many people have noted, Berman is an electrical engineer who has experience and knowledge in both traditional and alternative sources of energy. He is a visionary on a board dominated by a conservative, status-quo mentality that has yet to see what is important in our future.
I have had both the pleasure and honor of working with Berman on a variety of issues, including the development of the bio-fuel plant in Dove Creek. His vision for the future is one which we can all benefit from here in the arid Southwest. As the climate changes, we are being challenged on how best to deal with providing essential utilities, like electricity and water, in an effective manner. Berman has the education, knowledge and experience to help lead the LPEA into an energy future not dominated by the coal industry.
