Perhaps you don’t mind the shooting noise across the river from Walmart, but, for a really disgusting experience, try eating lunch at the new Whitewater Park. You know how sometimes you have to breathe through your mouth to avoid the stench of a public restroom? That’s what it’s like there. I went to watch the rafters at Animas River Days a couple of weeks ago. Never again! We spent a boatload of money to improve the rapids, while leaving the stinking sewer plant at the same site. How smart was that? If it can’t be moved, couldn’t it at least be covered? Whatever the cost, it’d be worth it.
