Dear readers,
Today is the last day the Weekend Edition of The Durango Herald will be published on Saturday.
Next weekend, the Herald will begin publishing on Sunday. Look for the first issue on Oct. 23.
Going forward, papers will be printed on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with stories posted online all seven days. That three-day print schedule reduces the number of days readers must wait between the Saturday edition and the Wednesday edition.
Reactions to this change have been overwhelmingly positive, although those few subscribers who receive their paper through the mail might receive their paper a day later. No postal service processing occurs on Sunday.
