Adaptive Sports Association, a nonprofit sports and recreation outfitter for people with disabilities, will hold volunteer training for the winter.
Volunteers are needed daily to teach ski and snowboard lessons. No experience is necessary, but volunteers must be at least intermediate skiers or snowboarders. Volunteers also earn discounted skiing at Purgatory Resort and college credit through arranged internships.
Orientations are:
- Returning Volunteer Orientation, 1-2 p.m. or 5-6 p.m.
- New Volunteer Orientation, 2-3 p.m. OR 6-7 p.m.
- Returning Volunteer Orientation, 10-11 a.m. or 5-6 p.m.
- New Volunteer Orientation, 11 a.m.-noon or 6-7 p.m.
- Returning Volunteer Orientation, 10-11 a.m.
- New Volunteer Orientation, 11 a.m.-noon.
Volunteers only need to attend one orientation. Orientations will be held at ASA headquarters, 463 Turner Drive, No. 105.
