The Dems cave. This time, the consequences are terrible. Voters will be driven away by the Dem leadership’s weakness. Why support candidates who give up to a bully? Arrogant Trump will be emboldened by his total victory over the Dems. Many will lose insurance and how many will die early due to this capitulation?
The promise of a vote to continue ACA subsidies in 40 days? A lie. When has Bully-Trump or GOP leadership ever kept a promise not in their direct interest? Never. And Speaker Johnson declares he will not bring it forward in the House. So it is a lie. The only way to prevail over a bully is to stand up to them, and keep standing. The GOP is the party of cruelty – expose them.
Why vote for candidates in a party that ends the shutdown for nothing? Sen. Schumer demonstrates why so many are moving away from the Democratic Party, just when we need them the most. He burned all the political Capitol from the last election; he should resign immediately. Such a betrayal. When you do not stand up to MAGA, you are complicit and drive young progressive voters away. This is how the party fractures and the white Christian nationalists win.
After all this effort, why give up now? What secret deals were made? What lazy choices were connived? Want a $200,000 RV? Want free private jet rides? Is it corruption, stupidity, cowardice, complicity or all of it?
So disappointed in the Dem leadership.
