Presently about to resume competition, post-spring break, in Ignacio’s track and field season, senior Trace Crane received another award on Tuesday as he was named honorable mention All-3A for his work on the basketball court.
Joining him in receiving the honorable mention distinction, as 34 ballers did statewide in 3A, were Bayfield senior guard Kingston Martinez and junior guard Hayes Malone, with Monte Vista senior guard/forward Azariah Hurtado also selected from the 3A/4A Intermountain League.
Rated highest from the IML was Montezuma-Cortez junior guard Trey Hall, who was named first-team All-4A. Senior guard Trace Hartsoe and sophomore guard Ah-Dae Lang received honorable mention all-4A recognition, along with Pagosa Springs senior guard Creede Dozier and Alamosa senior guard Victor Zepeda.
On the girls’ side, Centauri junior center/forward Rylie McCarroll, sophomore guard Lyndie Sowards and sophomore guard Paityn Sowards represented the IML as honorable mention All-3A picks, along with MVHS junior guard Reminee Mascarenas when the Colorado High School Activities Association announced its all-state girls’ teams.
PSHS junior guard Adelyn Hittle and senior center Kaila Limebrook were honorable mention All-4A, along with Alamosa senior forward/center Aubrey Rothermich and junior guard Audrina Knorr, plus M-CHS sophomore guard Kyndall Schmitt.
