Terrence Trujillo and the Durango High School football team have more questions heading into the 2015 season than they did at this point last year. The Demons are coming off a 4-6 season where they failed to make the playoffs. DHS will start its road to recapture 2013’s postseason form with a 5 p.m. Friday scrimmage against Montezuma-Cortez at DHS. The Demons and Panthers didn’t meet in the regular season last year after Cortez chose to play down in Class 2A and DHS was reclassified into the 4A Pikes Peak League. Cortez went 8-3 and qualified for the 2A quarterfinals last season and will be under the direction of first-year head coach Dave Wagner. “I’m looking at the scrimmage as a regular season game,” Wagner told The Cortez Journal earlier in the week. “I want to go there and beat Durango.”
