Whole Health Family Medicine Clinic has announced that Family Nurse Practitioner Melissa Briggs has joined its team.
The locally-owned direct primary care clinic has served Durango and the Four Corners for over 10 years with a membership-based model that provides a practical, effective and affordable medical care option for people and businesses.
Briggs earned her degree from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. She began her healthcare career over 18 years ago as a paramedic and specialized in emergency nursing for 11 years. Since September 2021, she has served as a primary care provider in Durango and the surrounding area.
Briggs believes quality healthcare begins with a strong partnership between provider and patient. Her approach centers on listening and collaborating with patients to set achievable health goals, with an emphasis on preventive care and health promotion. She has a clinical passion for women’s health, hormone therapy and diabetes care – and is committed to helping patients make informed decisions about their well-being.
