Friends of the Durango Public Library is hosting its annual July Book Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave. FOL members ($10 annual fee) receive early entry at 9:30 a.m. both days. Books are all $1, and the gently-used books available in Lela’s Book Shop are priced between $1 and $5.

Thousands of gently-used books in a vast array of genre will be available. The book sale is managed and staffed by the all volunteer organization. All proceeds are donated to the Durango Public Library’s self-directed funds.

Miranda Mackey, FOL board president has chosen to leave the board after five years as its president. But she will remain as the overseer of Lela’s Book Shop, a position she has held for six years.
