The results of the La Plata Electric Association director election will be announced at its annual meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at Sky Ute Casino Resort, 14324 Highway 172, Ignacio.
Jeff Wilbanks is the keynote speaker at the meeting, “Honoring our Heritage, Embracing our Future.”
Registration begins at 9 a.m., with a business meeting at 10:30 a.m. and a complimentary luncheon to follow.
The meeting is free to all LPEA members.
There will be presentations from various officials, and an update on Tri-State Generation and Transmission will be presented by Joel Bladow. The membership will have an opportunity to ask questions.
The Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency will offer test drives of a 2017 Nissan Leaf as part of the non-profit organization’s electric vehicle group-buy program.
LPEA members who register at the annual meeting will receive a $5 credit on their electric bill and will be eligible for door prizes and giveaways.
Golf carts will be available to assist those who have difficulty walking from the parking areas.
