Mad Hatters has new top knitter

Cathy Hoch has taken over the leadership of the Durango Mad Hatters.

Hoch assumed the leadership on July 17, and she can be reached by email at: durangomadhatters@gmail.com.

The Durango Mad Hatters is a group of volunteers who knit or crochet hats for newborns at Mercy Family Birthing Center. The group strives to ensure newborns have hats for their trips home. Over the past 10 years, the Mad Hatters have donated more than 9,500 hats for local babies and several charitable organizations.

All knitters and crocheters are welcome to join. The group has no dues or regular meetings.
