The Dolores Mountain Quilters Guild plans to hold its 2018 biennial quilt show Aug. 24-25 at the Dolores Community Center.
Show times are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 24 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 25.
The show will feature more than 100 quilts, which will be judged by the public in six categories.
A quilters’ boutique will offer many handmade gifts and treasures, door prizes will be drawn each hour, and raffle tickets will be for sale for a king-size quilt called “Navajo Serape.”
Several vendors will offer fabric, patterns and notions.
Tickets are available at the door for $3 per person for 16 years and older.
The Dolores Mountain Quilters Guild’s monthly gatherings focus on members’ quilting creativity, continuing quilting education for members and the community, support in the form of donated quilts to those in need, quilting creations offered to local nonprofits for fundraising and annual cash contributions in appreciation of local service organizations.
Visitors and nonmembers are invited to attend the guild’s monthly meetings held at 10 a.m. the first Tuesday of each month at the Dolores Community Center.
