City to spray noxious weeds at Greenmount Cemetery

The city of Durango has contracted with Horizon Environmental Services to conduct noxious weed abatement Monday through Friday, with follow-up spot spraying to continue through August, at Greenmount Cemetery, 900 Cemetery Road.

Milestone, 4LB Amine and Drive XLR8 herbicides will be used.

Horizon Environmental Services is licensed by the Colorado Department of Agriculture, and weed control has been tested and approved by the Environmental Protection Agency.

Applications are conducted to improve quality of right-of-ways, parks and open spaces in the city’s parks and recreation system.
