8:39 a.m. A vehicle hit a deer and the engine was smoking near 81 Sawyer Drive in Bodo Industrial Park.

11:12 a.m. Someone reported that three men were camped out under an Ashley Furniture store sign at the Durango Mall, 835 Main Ave.

11:31 a.m. A man was acting like he was holding a gun and pretending to shoot people and cars near Roosa Avenue and Ninth Street.

4:57 p.m. Police responded to a disturbance behind Durango Liquor & Wine, in the Walmart shopping center, where a man was blowing a whistle and screaming for help.

9:57 p.m. A drunken woman tried smoking a cigarette in the McDonald’s lobby, 201 West College Drive.

10:02 p.m. A drunken man threatened to beat up another man, according to a report at Denny’s Restaurant, 666 Camino del Rio. Police arrested someone for aggressive panhandling.

11:42 p.m. Someone reported an odor of marijuana at Piñon Terrace Apartments, 80 Primrose Circle, and the building has a strict no-smoking policy.

11:13 a.m. Two juveniles tried to break into a home in the Durango West I subdivision.

3:45 p.m. Someone reported a horse being shot in the 5600 block of County Road 334, in southeastern La Plata County.

4:32 p.m. Someone forced entry into a home where an 11-year-old child was alone inside, according to a report in the Hesperus area. Deputies made an arrest.
