More schools closed in northeast Colorado district

GREELEY – A northeast Colorado school district has closed more schools and facilities in an effort to stop a norovirus outbreak.

The Greeley Tribune reports that four Greeley-Evans School District 6 schools and the Transitions Program at the former Cameron Elementary School were closed Friday through the weekend and after-school activities canceled.

They joined Franklin Middle School, which was closed Thursday and Friday after more than 100 students and several staff members came down with the illness.

The district says all the schools will reopen Monday after the facilities are cleaned.
