Bringing a modern sound and feel to The Beatles' classics, the band Doctor Robert kicks off the Alpine Bank-Community Concert Hall "Concerts @ the Park" series, Thursday, June 16, at Durango's Buckley Park The band returns to the Park series for a second year - back by popular demand, and will play from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
With performances that appeal to all ages, Doctor Robert has garnered respect for its fresh interpretation of arguably the greatest pop music ever written. The band, based in Crested Butte, is known for its extended, high-energy sets including songs spanning The Beatles' catalog, from "Please Please Me" to "Abbey Road," with no two shows ever the same. The band rotates more than 100 of the Fab Four's classic songs, depending on the audience and venue.
The members of Doctor Robert (Casey Falter - guitar, vocals; Ben Wright - drums; Karen Janssen - vocals, percussion, guitar, mandolin, piano, bass; and Kevin Reinert - base, guitar, vocals) hail from musical backgrounds ranging from jazz and bluegrass, to funk and classical. Their diverse musical tastes and experiences combine to inspire their interpretations of The Beatles' music.

</URL>Designed to make live music more accessible to a broader community audience, the "Concerts @ the Park" shows require no tickets and offer a family-friendly environment for enjoying a diverse music line-up.
Concertgoers are asked to bring their own chairs or blankets, as seating will not be provided at Buckley Park. Fired Up Pizzeria and Schlotzsky's will offer food for sale at the park, but picnics are invited.
Buckley Park is located in the 1200 block of Main Ave. (between 12th and 13th Streets) on the north end of Durango's historic downtown.
