Colton Black has outlined a responsible plan to truly get the La Plata County Treasurer’s Office out of the red and into the black.
He has the business and financial experience needed to lift our county out of the current embarrassment of being categorized as “high risk,” which is draining money to cover costly oversight by outside auditors.
Colton Black has a plan to replace our outside financial advisers, who do a paltry few transactions on the county’s behalf but collect whopping commissions – as high as $55,000 per year.
Colton Black has also demonstrated skill managing and administering a variety of financial platforms to make county processes more efficient, including streamlined and consolidated electronic transactions. Unlike our current treasurer, Colton Black was not stymied by the Colorado Secretary of State’s campaign finance reporting.
Colton Black is a quality candidate for treasurer and would be a great asset to our county’s administration.
