As a society, we long ago gave up any hopes of a strong moral compass or high collective integrity in the, ahem, “news” industry. However, The Durango Herald, as well as many other “news” outlets have reached yet another milestone of vulgarity. To publish the photograph of the young reporter from the perspective of the gunman milliseconds before she was tragically gunned down is not journalism. It is the product of a bunch of troglodytes feeding off the fetid remains of one of their own.
As an individual, I have no influence over the national press or The Durango Herald. But coming from this individual hear this: from this day forward The Durango Herald will not receive a second of my time or a dime from my wallet.
