Three suicides were reported this week in La Plata County, Coroner Jann Smith said.
On Wednesday night, authorities responded to an apartment complex on Florida Road for a 16-year-old Durango boy who also died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Smith said.
Smith said the apartment belonged to a friend of the 16-year-old. She declined to identify the boy because next of kin had not been notified as of Wednesday night.
Authorities responded Sunday to a home in Bayfield for a man who was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Smith said the man was identified as Jeremy Cuthair, 43.
Smith said she did not have additional details. According to his obituary, Cuthair was a member of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe.
It was previously reported a 37-year-old man was found dead Monday south of Durango from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, in a home in a remote area off La Posta Road (County Road 213).
The man was identified as Tobin Sinclair Jr.
